Today we are shearing the last of the sheep.

Meri is back staying, she is going to help in the shearing shed. Judy will be cooking the lunch.

Its a beautiful day here today.

Tia, the lamb

Tia is doing very well now. She has 4 feeds a day and I think she may be eating grass.

She has a friend Charlie. He is great company for Tia. I can hear them calling me from the house.

Lamb Update

Tia, the lamb is doing really well and getting bigger each day. She guzzles her half bottle of milk in seconds. We have another orphan lamb now who we have named “Jojo”. She is tiny and only drinks a small amount of milk at a time. Today we introduced her to one of our ewes who’s lamb died and she drank her milk so that is really good news.

Sorting Sheep

Today we sorted the sheep into 2 mobs, ones due to have lambs any day have gone into the green feed, those due later have gone into H1. We finished bailing up some wool. Jo went out and checked the newborn lambs. All okay except for one which John bought back for us to feed. We now have a pet lamb, Tia. She will need feeding with a bottle every 4 hours just like a baby. Don’t forget to feed her before you go to bed Judy!!!!!

Hanmer Springs Market

Art in a Garden – Hawarden

Tickets entitle bearer entry to Art in a Garden on any one of the four days.

Art in a Garden is an unique three and a half day event celebrating the joys of bringing art and sculpture to a garden gallery. It is a moving experience to find a wonderful piece of sculpture set in right place to enhance what the sculptor had in mind. There will be emphasis on many cultural aspects of our lives and fun activities for children all designed to foster an interest in the arts.

Waipara Wine and Food Celebration
